The GAC-NL photography contest is annual event that aims to celebrate the geological wonders of Newfoundland and Labrador. First launched in 2024, the contest opened with the main rules that pictures be geologically related and taken in Newfoundland and Labrador. The pictures can be close-up, landscape or aerial type shots. See below for all contest rules:

Contest Rules

•Entrants should be a registered member of GAC-NL

•1 photo/submission allowed per category

•All photo submissions must be geologically related (if not apparent, the relation to geology needs to be explained)

•Photos are to be taken in Newfoundland and Labrador within the same year as the contest

•Photos must be original work, captured and edited by the entrants

•Photos can be submitted in color or black and white

•By submitting photos to the contest, the entrant grants GAC-NL the right to use photos submitted to the contest for promotional and fundraising purposes

•Email your photos to info.gacnl@gmail.com.  Include your full name, email and telephone number, location where the photos were taken, and brief description of each photo
